TELESCOPE MAKING
AMATEUR TELESCOPE MAKERS OF LONDON
Holly Lodge Community Centre, 30 Makepeace Avenue, N6 6HL
Wed Apr 3, 2019 - Wed Jul 3, 2019
Time: 20:00 to 21:30
Price: £47 for six sessions
Many of us stare at the stars in wonder; some go further and buy themselves telescopes or binoculars to expand the view; others get the urge to make their own telescopes and AMATEUR TELESCOPE MAKERS OF LONDON exists to fulfill that need. Imagine the thrill of stargazing through a telescope of your own making. CATS continues in its fiftieth year at Holly Lodge Community Centre. We have helped many aspiring astronomers to create their own instruments and to further their appreciation of the heaven’s marvels. Course members are provided with all the materials and professional guidance necessary to make a mirror for a telescope and help and advice on the construction of the telescope’s structure, how to set it up and how to use it. Previous experience is not necessary and only everyday DIY tools are used. This is a hands-on course. Look for us on Facebook.
